The word “hustle” has evolved far beyond its original meaning. Today, it represents ambition, resilience, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of purpose. Few embody that spirit better than Nhlonipho Ngidi, also known as Mr Mahleka_Abulawe.
At just 29 years old, Nhlonipho has already built an identity that stretches across multiple industries and creative disciplines. By profession, he works as a paramedic — a career he describes not simply as a job, but as a calling deeply connected to healing and helping people.
But outside of healthcare lies another side of his personality: the entrepreneur, artist, poet, musician, and fashion visionary.
Nhlonipho belongs to a generation heavily influenced by modern hustle culture and self-expression. The rise of “ghetto glam” culture — a movement associated with ambition, luxury aesthetics, and street influence — has inspired many young people to pursue bold lifestyles and entrepreneurial dreams. Instead of merely admiring the culture from afar, Nhlonipho chose to become part of it by building his own creative legacy.
One of his strongest creative outlets is writing. He co-produced a quote book titled Babuyile and released a full poetry project called Death Knows No Regret, both published on Kindle in 2020. These projects showcased his ability to communicate emotion, reflection, and storytelling through words.
Music and poetry became extensions of his personality, but his ambitions did not stop there.
Despite the global uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Nhlonipho continued pushing forward and eventually launched his clothing brand, Mahleka Abulawe, before the end of 2020. At a time when many people were stepping back from entrepreneurship due to fear and instability, he chose to bet on himself instead.
For Nhlonipho, fashion is deeply personal. He believes clothing is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression. Through style, people communicate identity, confidence, and individuality without speaking a word. His brand reflects the idea that being different and standing out in a judgmental society is itself an act of courage.
He also believes patience and hard work are essential qualities for anyone chasing success. According to him, effective hustlers understand the importance of tactful grinding — putting in consistent effort while remaining strategic and focused.

His five-year plan includes growing Mahleka Abulawe into a globally recognized brand capable of standing alongside major fashion labels such as Nike.
