Savannah De Almeida is the very definition of modern ambition. Bold, creative, and fiercely
driven, the young entrepreneur and model continues to prove that women are capable of breaking
barriers while remaining authentic to themselves.
Hailing from Hillcrest in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, Savannah earned a place among the
prestigious Top 30 contestants in the Miss South Africa pageant. While she spent much of her
childhood growing up on a farm, she has since embraced the vibrant energy of city life and the
beauty of coastal living.
At just 23 years old, Savannah has already built an impressive career. She works for an all-
female international marketing company as a social media and digital marketing specialist while
balancing life as a part-time dancer and model. Her artistic flair allows her to create innovative
branding solutions and impactful creative campaigns.
Savannah’s journey into modelling began at the age of 18. What initially started as curiosity soon
transformed into a genuine passion. From collaborating with local brands to networking with
industry professionals, she quickly discovered a love for the creative world.
Unlike many traditional households where modelling is often discouraged, Savannah found
support and encouragement from her mother, whose belief in her dreams became a source of
strength.
“Modelling is not an easy career,” Savannah explains. “You need to be mentally strong because
rejection is part of the process. What matters most is having the passion and confidence to keep
going.”
Despite the pressures of the industry, Savannah continues to appreciate the rewarding side of her
career — travelling to breathtaking destinations, meeting inspiring individuals, and embracing
the glamour that comes with fashion and entertainment.
However, like many young professionals, Savannah’s journey was disrupted by the COVID-19
pandemic. Before lockdowns changed the world, she had secured a lead female dance role in a
theatre production scheduled to tour Pretoria while also travelling internationally.
Then, everything came to a sudden halt.
What could have broken her spirit instead became a turning point. Through innovation,
adaptability, and persistence, Savannah rebuilt her momentum within a year.
Today, she advocates for self-love and positive affirmations as essential tools for navigating
emotionally demanding industries like modelling.

“Confidence is everything,” she says.
